This may be unpopular here but, frankly, if I were President I’d pardon Assange. He is a cyber-libertarian who appears to believe that transparency keeps government honest. I think that’s a little pollyannish but he does seem to concentrate on being a good journalist – in the original sense of honestly reporting the news.
As for tearing down the Statue of Liberty? No. Just no. It is a symbol of American values. While we Americans are not always faithful to those values, the Statue of Liberty is a reminder to try harder next time.

Yes, I wish Trump had pardoned Assange - he deserved it for the damage he did to Hillary Clinton by exposing her, if nothing else.
