I figured out a while ago that reality is not like Miracle on 34th Street. Sure I still love the movie (the original – the remake was a poor shadow) but that does not mean I accept that wishing or hope or prayer can make a thing true. If it did we could solve all our problem by believing at them really hard.

I reckon that puts me outside of about 90% of what passes for politics and about 100% of what passes for religion. ¯\_(シ)_/¯
