Despair is in Fashion

Quote:
As one commenter on the Twitter thread noted, “I thought I was watching Mad Max II.”
Look at their eyes. There seems to be nothing there but impotent rage and despair.
As with every normal activity or event that Social Justice commandeers, the entire original purpose is subverted for the sake of servicing the ideology. A fashion show is ostensibly supposed to inspire the viewer to adopt the displayed fashion. But here, the fashion is clearly intentionally ugly, and the models who are supposed to look confident and happy instead lumber across the stage with slumped shoulders and frowning faces.
The social engineers make everything ugly on purpose to demoralize you.

Fashion shows have been showcasing absurdity for quite awhile now. Remember the one with all the soyboys in dresses? So this isn’t surprising.
Just, as usual, stupid, depressing and pointless.
Hopefully it backfires on the ideology it’s trying to promote, by illustrating how ugly it is.

“to generate disgust”

This kind of thing reminds me of a scene from the movie Hotel New Hampshire, based (very closely, to the author’s satisfaction) on John Irving’s 1984 novel of the same name.

“Everything that is decadent speeds up the revolution. Today, at this phase, it’s necessary to generate disgust.”

“All sexual acts actually involve four or five different sexes.” (sound familiar?)

from the movie Hotel New Hampshire (1984) – Ernst (Matthew Modine) is a young adult Austrian communist revolutionary terrorist. Franny (Jodie Foster) is promiscuous and fucking Ernst. She and her brother John (Rob Lowe) are also in love with each other.

Ernst: All sexual acts actually involve four or five different sexes.

Franny: Wait a minute, that means that for every one fuck there are four or five people going at it? That sounds exhausting.

Ernst: I’m a pornographer because I’m serving the revolution. Everything that is decadent speeds up the revolution. Today, at this phase, it’s necessary to generate disgust.

John: You’re certainly doing a good job of that.

Ernst: Disgust in ourselves and what we have allowed ourselves to become.

John: Speaking for himself.

Ernst: The pornographer is of course the most disgusting.

Franny: I thought you were a Communist.

Ernst: Personally… Well, personally I’m an aesthete. I long for the erotic. I mourn for the erotic. For in the new world, after the revolution, all this must be lost.

Franny: The new world?

Wow. That’s exactly what’s happening.
And of course it’s one of the goals on that Communist “list” of how they were going to subvert our culture. Amazing how that list of goals was exposed for all to see, but after the McCarthy era, our government never did a damn thing to stop it.

I just don’t think the Ugly and Revealing All Flaws of bodies will catch on. Public PJ and bedroom slippers is nowhere near as bad as it seems, now…but this shite will cost much more money.

Did you see Sam Smith’s Satanic entertainment sponsored by Pfeifer at the Grammy thing recently? It was intensely pornographic. What with pride parades, drag shows in schools, thousands of children being transgendered, it is incontrovertible that the ugly, the lewd, the disgusting, the low, the filthy, the perverted, the freakish, the immoral now characterize the favored aesthetic of America and the West in general. The Left has deliberately uglified everything - art, music, architecture, fashion … Our civilization is decaying and will end not with a bang, not with a whimper, but with a prurient giggle.

I did not see it, but I saw stills from it and read an article. We don’t have TV connection and haven’t for many years, but we do watch DVDs of series and movies and if we want to watch something else…such as a podcast or video, we can stream in the library.

Not all of the West and not all of America…just the group that MUST be in with the in crowd and I bet not all of them either. To wear this stuff, one has to be pretty all right with his or her body, just the way it is, and maybe a lot of people don’t care, but neither will a lot of people pay for a dress that looks as if it came from Dollar General or Walmart clearance racks.

We’ll have to wait and see. The times they are achangin’.

But…which photo is the way most people would really like to look? If anybody chooses the 2022 one, they are lying. I don’t care what they claim.

People would prefer not to be fat, but they think to accept their body is to be proud of it and desire to show it off…and anyone who thinks they aren’t perfect is a racist bigot and probably a Republican and Trump supporter, but certainly overly privileged and probably white and cis-gendered.

I don’t want to snuggle up with that man, no matter what color he is…yuck. If I were a lesbian, I wouldn’t want to snuggle up with the women. Now…there are women that I would consider snuggling with, but that is a different story and not probable at all.

The only problem with the other earlier photo is that that guy is just too young to be appealing, and I really don’t like the underpants peaking out look.

What does that make me? A fat-people hater? No, but I can choose to not copy fat people, who think they are just fine the way they are and like to show it off in public. And, I can choose with whom I would like to snuggle and not be a hater.

And…so can everybody else. I don’t have to like it or look at it or be okay with it or copy it to be considered a good person.

Thank you Calvin Klein for all the years of mostly naked bodies that you think the general person should admire and copy. From the sublime to ridiculous. When did these ads move away from the body ideal? I know we all cannot be that, but must every type be represented to sell underwear? Just sell the underwear, not the light porn.

Sorry…ranting.

The Library of Wiblingen Abbey in Ulm, Germany, is gloriously beautiful.

Yes - but see how white the sculpted figures are? The books are claims to white supremacy, every one of them. The paintings too.

The whole structure will have to be destroyed and replaced by a square grey concrete Abortion Clinic, and/or a towering steel and glass Child Trangendering Surgery. What’s delaying the CRT, DEI, ESG ant-racist cancel-culturists?

See the photos of this boastful monument to White Supremacy here (they are stunning):

Wow, that’s beautiful. But yes, just give them time, and leftists will destroy it.

Wow! That is almost too gorgeous for a library. The woke world is seriously twisted. Can we not be amazed by human achievements by people of all skin colors?

I know, I know…they can only be amplified if whites are diminished.

Some “skin colors” have not achieved anything significant, have made no contribution to the human race. Which doesn’t mean that individual members of them couldn’t do so now or in the future. Nor does it mean that they are individually of lesser value. They feel no less, suffer no less, laugh no less than any one else of any color. And the value of a person cannot be measured according to what his tribe has achieved or failed to achieve.

That seems a rather outrageous statement. Can you back that up?

What contribution have the Aborigines of Australia made? The Maoris ditto? The “native Americans” ditto? The Bushmen ditto? Just to name a few.

Some individuals from those peoples have made contributions since the European explorers found them. But as peoples, nations, tribes - what? Tell us.

Remember that all the races on earth now are equally old.

Your comment: “Did you see Sam Smith’s Satanic entertainment…” – But I have wondered how much of that is a distraction, provoking us and directing our attention away from the other gangsta shit they’re up to? The kind of control over the media they have makes that tactic possible. — But even if it’s not any of that, the disgust it generates has a negative effect on our morale and fertility. Of course, it could have all of those consequences.

Sam Smith is just a tool of the left, helping to normalize weirdness and perversion in the culture, like a good celebrity should!
