Death AND a fine? That’s taking it a bit far!
Sorry for joking, but they are a sick joke.
And we are importing this mentality into the west, an even sicker joke, played on us by our demented “betters”.
The judge found that she failed to prove “legal insanity” beyond a “reasonable doubt” - ha! These people are like monkeys dressed in suits and judges robes, pretending to be human. They can parrot the terms “reasonable” and define “insanity”, while coming to the insane conclusion that she must die for the horrific sin of blasphemy.
I had the same thought when I first saw it, but perhaps such fines are designed to punish relatives.
Victims of the Catholic church’s Inquisitions - both the Papal and the Spanish - had to pay for their imprisonment, torture, and the bundles of wood with the burning of which they were put to agonizing death. This although all they possessed, and all their immediate family possessed, was confiscated by the church of love and forgiveness.
In Saudi Arabia and Iran (and probably elsewhere in the Islamic world) many (if not all) of those condemned to be publicly flogged, and those condemned to death, are also routinely fined.
Ah, the joys of religion!

… for, say, one week, to know beyond all doubt that Islam is an utterly unjust and entirely evil ideology.
I’ve been reading it every day for years.
