Quote:
Trump is crushing all potential opponents in a Republican primary, including DeSantis. A recent poll has Trump hoovering up 56 percent of the vote in a field of seven GOP rivals. DeSantis clocks in with 16 percent.
But the regime is prepared to move heaven and earth to stop Trump. They would prefer to stop him from running at all. If they can’t do that, they will go to any length necessary to prevent him from winning. And if that doesn’t succeed, they will prevent him from being seated as the next president. But what about our side? What about us deplorables? Do we just roll over and take it? We always have. After the deeply flawed 2020 election was called for the Man in the Basement, there was abundant grumbling. There was even the jamboree at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. it was not an insurrection. It was a spontaneous protest whose chief structure seems to have been supplied by various para-government operatives, informants, organizers, and plants. For his part, Donald Trump urged the crowd headed to the Capitol to make make their views known “peacefully and patriotically". Determined to make the case that Trump was inciting a riot or worse, the Jan 6 committee omitted that bit from its video of the event. But the mass of citizens understands that Trump was not guilty of trying spark an “insurrection” to “overturn the election”.
The big question remains, what happens next time? Trump enjoys the support of tens of millions of people. How many read the New York Times or watch CNN? One way of framing the question I have no answer for is this: Is there a line in the sand that, if crossed by the regime, would galvanize the deplorables into open revolt? What if, the next time a presidential election was curated by George Soros, Mark Zuckerberg, and the Democratic National Committee, a few million of them began acting like Black Lives Matter protestors during the summer of 2020? What then?
Jill: “First, do no harm.” This wise maxim applies to politics as well as medicine. We must not be provoked. Or, as Karl Marx said, “Do not play at insurrection”.
As an old Leninist, who spent 20 years studying how successful revolutions are made – and how unsuccessful ones are lost – may I urge you, and others, to read the following book:
Trotsky, History of the Russian Revolution.
[ Leon Trotsky: The History of the Russian Revolution (1930) ] for how to do it.
And ‘A. Neuberg’ [a pseudonum for a collective of authors] Armed Insurrection, for how NOT to do it.

I know most conservatives think the Russian Revolution was just a behind-the-scenes coup d’etat by a group of conspiractors. Well, you’re wrong. It was not ‘just’ that. Please read the book. The first one is the important one.
I read Trotsky many years ago. Maybe that book. Can’t remember now. He certainly made a successful revolution. But are you advocating that Americans should make just such a revolution as he made?
What exactly are you advocating?
No, no, no.
We must read Trotsky to see the details of his fundamental insight – not profound but superficially at least in tension with Marxism – which was that revolutions are basically ‘changes in mass psychology’.
I have read over and over and over on dozens of conservative sites, things like … well, right at this very moment, things like this:
Scroll down to the bottom, then back up a few posts. The fellow who runs this site – ‘Dr Manhattan’ – is a good patriot, pretty well read, and a not-stupid. But here you’ll find him, in effect, urging people to come out on the streets with their guns. No, he doesn’t quite say that – it’s just rhetoric – but it’s dangerous.
Conservatives – all Americans – have lived, in the memory of almost everyone still alive, in a peaceful liberal democracy. (The last time the US began to depart from this situation was in 1934, when there were three city-wide general strikes led by openly communist parties, althuogh three different ones).
That is changing. The rules are changing. But patriots who sense this have no idea of how to devise a strategy and tactics for dealing with the new situation. Thus they casually post things which are abstractly true – ‘the tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants’ – but which can be taken by people – encouraged by provocateurs – to mean, start shooting now.
What Trotsky shows is how to maneuver in a situation like that. Of particular importance are the ‘July Days’, when a part of the Bolshevik Party – whether urged by Lenin or not – came out in a spontaneous semi-insurrection – and were crushed.
It’s not a question of the military relatonship of forces – who has the most guns. It’s more subtle than that. If you go outside the normal arena of electoral politics – even if you are forced out side that arena – you have to be very very careful about coming out onto the streets to overturn the existing order, no matter how repressive it is and how noble your aims are. It’s not a moral question. It’s a tactical question.
I don’t want to go on and on here about this.
Most people who start blathering on about taking up arms are just hot-air merchants, males with manhood problems – or enemy agents (Russian trolls, FBI stoolies,anti-Fa plants).
It’s okay if it’s all confined to online forums, where nothing matters anyway, people just let off steam, it’s all words words words. But sometimes these words provoke decent people into doing stupid things.
The prime example was 6 January, a huge victory for the Left. (Of coruse they took advantage of it, exaggerated and lied about it … hey, it’s war. When your enemy stumbles and falls, you kick him. It’s how we would act if the Left did something similar. Or how I hope we would act.
No question - Trump should run in, and win, the next election. Because he won the last one and was - along with everyone who voted for him - denied the victory, denied justice, and suffered the most egregious political crime in our history.
True justice would be that the mountain of proof of electoral fraud would be acknowledged, Biden immediately deposed, and Trump installed in his place NOW. But short of that, he MUST at least be elected for another term in 2024.
Talk of the Cold Civil War turning hot is in the air:
If they steal another election, it’s going to get bad.
I don’t know if it would be “Civil War”, but whatever it is will be terrible. Even if it ends “with a whimper”, it will be the end of the Republic.
