"Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink"

The story of the drying up of domestic supplies of water in Richmond, Virginia, is a vignette of why the Trump Revolution is absolutely necessary to save America.

Part quote part summary:
The water suddenly stopped running in the greater Richmond area on 6 January.

In some areas, it was up to five days without potable water or with no water at all.

The cascade of events causing the outages after a switch blew for a still yet-to-be-determined reason sounds like something out of an implausible, impossible bad movie.

The staff had no clue how to handle a plant shutdown or what to do in an emergency.

While they struggled to fix it, the plant flooded.

Had there been a single engineer aware enough to flip the switch to power on the backup generators during the hour that the battery backup was providing emergency power, the Richmond water crisis would not have happened.

In charge of the utilities department was political appointee April Bingham. She pushed DEI while the city’s water infrastructure fell into disrepair — even catching the attention of the Environment Protection Agency (EPA).

The EPA called out her department for corroded pumps, cracked filters, and outdated emergency response plans.

Meanwhile, Bingham volunteers as a DEI committee member for an NGO and says that she wants to make the water industry more inclusive of women.

Bingham has dedicated herself to advancing the DEI agenda and is a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for the Virginia branch of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), a professional organization for water management officials.

She has been busy, has statues to take down, baseball stadiums to fund, and lots of DEI doohickies to print up.

The city of Richmond spent many tens of millions of dollars on the contracts to remove the big beautiful statues along Monument Avenue and now they can’t even provide water to the residents. Haiti-tier governance. And the Mayor is running for Governor of the Commonwealth!

The only difference here between Virginia and California is that at least Virginia isn’t battling fires and a water shortage at the same time.
But the cause of the problems is the same - incompetent, ideologically brainwashed DEI hires.
We’ve already reached the point of collapse - disasters due to this rot from within are happening all over the place. I hope Trump’s able to save the country from a total collapse of its infrastructures by rooting out all of this rot Biden caused.
