Thanks for posting that, Zerothruster. Hanson writes in passionate anger. He speaks for us. He speaks, laments, for multitudes - at least half the nation and many more in the outside world.

Yes, what’s coming is more tyrannical crackdowns by the leftist totalitarians who now wield the power of the government they weaponized to persecute everyone who dissents.
Like he says, they know we know that “no one in their right mind” would do the destructive things they’re doing, unless you’re a traitor.
So they basically have no choice now but to pull out all the stops and go full Stalinist on us.

Hanson is spot on as usual. It is conceivable that the left may even succeed, if they see that Trump’s victory is unavoidable, will somehow cancel the 2024 election. They will attempt to justify this by appealing to a catastrophic national emergency, such as war or plague.

Yes, that’s exactly what I expect them to do.
They’ve pushed everything too far, and people are “onto them”, and getting mad as hell, so they really have no other option if they want to stay in power.
They’ve got everything in place to pull off a final coup - full collapse is imminent - why stop now?
And we already know how far they are willing to go.
