I guess the writer is trying to sound neutral and unbiased, but I take exception to the statement,
“In the areas of pandemic and climate protection, gender, migration, and the financial system, these organizations want to find coordinated answers for the benefit of all people worldwide.”
Really?? Let me help him out here - every one of the “problems” named here are bogus - agitprop manufactured by them to create an excuse to “fix” them, and not for our benefit, but theirs.
He gets closer to admitting that elsewhere in the article, but doesn’t emphasize the danger here.
It’s all a hoax that the elites are playing on the dumbed down masses, who they couldn’t care less about, except as pawns in a giant “social engineering” experiment, the goal of which is totalitarian control and world domination.

Liz, my impression is that the writer is condemning such thinking rather than advocating it.
I think his main point is yours (and mine) that “it’s all a hoax”.

Yes, I guess it’s just the style of writing. A little too toned down for my taste. I’m done with being nice.

Something that puzzles me is why did Donald Trump, who has been so vocal against the media generally, not stand up more effectively against their propaganda on this fake pandemic?

Not sure why, either. But he did stand up in favor of hydroxychloroquine early on, and of course they bashed him for it. I did wonder why he put up with the insufferable quack Fauci for so long though.

Unlike the Dems, when he did not know enough to be certain of something, he spoke with humility. But most of what he said has turned out to be right. He must have consulted sensible experts, but they themselves knew little about this virus.
Also, he’d had years of experiencing his will being blocked, even when he really knew best. He would not want to take a stand on an issue about which he had no certainty.
