US doctors under authoritarian orders

Doctors being force to toe a prescribed POLITICAL lone or else …?

“Doctors in the US have been told they will lose their license if they say anything negative about the Covid-19 injections.”

“Could” lose their license would be more accurate, but even as a possibility the threat is outrageous. It is blackmail. And it is surely against all the principles of medical ethics to force every doctor to approve a certain treatment in all circumstances for all patients.

Outrageous is right. I don’t see how it can be legal, either! The authoritarianism is increasing by the minute, as anyone could have predicted.
Hopefully the resistance to it will become a force equal to it. But then, the mind-boggling number of traitors who are already occupying positions of leadership in every one of our institutions, including the medical field, is something most of us didn’t see coming.

When asked by my patients (here in Ontario) about the vaccines, masks, and lockdowns, I tell them that I am forbidden to criticize government policy because that would be misinformation, and of course, one must follow the science.

I say that if one can’t question it, then it’s not science.

I speak freely and openly to most of my patients and I’m (almost) past the point of caring about the midnight knock on the door.
This is the front-line of this war. The principle of freedom of speech must not ever be violated - especially in the country with the First Amendment. These are the times that try men’s souls.

This is horrendous.

What are they thinking? How could so many go so wrong so quickly?

You are a model for your profession, Cogito!

Thank you for the information I have used to post the topic.

Yes, Canada is so far gone. I hope you can continue to practice medicine as you see fit without becoming a government target.

Any physician worth his salt should be truthful with his patients. Every patient should expect him to be so, yet this is rarely the case, because patients don’t usually want to think for themselves or question anything or even discuss their problems or conditions. And so, the physician says and does what he thinks is best…hopefully, taking each case as a single consideration.

It is a failure of medical science and honor that any authority should seek to direct a physician’s care of his patients by not allowing discussion of questionable or alternative treatment. The vaccine is questionable and there are alternative treatments for Covid, short of sticking a ventilating tube down a throat.

I accept that getting the vaccine is a choice that can be made knowing the consequences for not getting it. Personally, I think that older adults should get the vaccine. I also think that certain employers can mandate vaccines. I won’t go on a cruise with non-vaccinated people. Our friend doesn’t want non-vaccinated people to visit when she is pregnant (and not yet vaccinated) or to care her new baby when she arrives. Our daughter doesn’t want to be around non-vaccinated people in a closed environment, and neither do we. Fortunately, our social life is almost nonexistent by our nature anyway and our farm is isolated.

However, now we have school coming up. We want all the teachers and staff to be vaccinated and we don’t want students to be forced into masks again. There is already very good distance learning in place for those students that must take greater caution to exposure. The other healthy young people will eventually contract the virus and nearly all should get by fine, as we have seen. Those with natural immunity will fare better, and life will go on.

Didn’t intend this post to go on, but there you are.

Cogito, blessings upon you for being a caring physician.

Thanks for your response Jeanne. You say that you "I accept that getting the vaccine is a choice that can be made knowing the consequences for not getting it.
But one of my main concerns now is that people may not know the consequences of *getting it!
I watch what’s happening in Israel since that was one of the first countries to plunge into the vaccines. So what is happening now?

Yes Canada is far gone, but, as this posting indicates, the US is not far behind.

Cogito, you have given me night-terrors for sure. Thank you for this information. It is most disturbing.

As a physician, what do you recommend doing to protect oneself and one’s family from contagion? This article makes me think that isolation may be the only answer.

Generally speaking, I would not do what Dr Fauci recommends

A UK doctor was suspended by the NHS after his video challenging the government response to COVID-19 went viral. He has now launched a legal challenge to the government actions, I have included some key points and links in this short post:

If children aren’t at risk though Jeanne, then why should teachers be required to be vaccinated? We don’t know the long term risks of the vaccines, and some teachers are quite young actually.

Good question.

Virtually no major institution in the United States is committed to truth. The American Medical Association just announced that birth certificates should no longer list “sex” because we do not know the sex of a baby. We know the sex of every mammal on the planet, but not of human beings. And medical schools – yes, medical schools – are no longer to refer to those who give birth as women, but as “birthing persons”; “breastfeeding” is referred to as “chest-feeding.”
One of Dr. Fauci’s lies is that cloth masks work. Yet, as the article noted, a Freedom of Information Act email revealed that Fauci’s original, March 2020, position that masks were unnecessary remained his position even when he later advocated that the country be masked.

Exactly! The risk is greater than the supposed benefit.

Great observations by Prager, except that I think he gives leftists too much slack for believing their own lies. We ARE a “society of lies” now, thanks to the Left. We’re becoming as bad as any Communist dictatorship. It’s a complete betrayal of everything our society has upheld since it’s founding. What I find hard to grasp is not whether they believe their lies, but that they so completely lack a conscience, a sense of right and wrong, or of human decency, that they can lie knowingly, without any guilt or shame about the horrible consequences their lies will cause.
It’s an entire generation of sociopaths.

Not only are children at very very low risk (a survival rate of 99.997%) but recent data from Sweden shows that teachers have a lower rate of infection than the adult population generally.
