Okay, well…Newsweek (didn’t know it was still functioning) did an online article about how Beck’s planes and passengers were being held hostage by the Taliban. He felt he was able to tell us this morning about what happened.
It was not six planes, but four, and they were each full with fully documented, vetted passengers (more than 1000 with at least 100 Americans) with all their papers and with a detailed manifest cleared by OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets), which will arrest anybody that is dealing with terrorists, just FYI.
The planes were okayed by our State Department to take off because they finally got permission from our State Department to land in the country that was accepting the planes. They were at KAM commercial airport. Suddenly they were denied permission to take off, because the new government (the Taliban) was yielded to by our St. Dept. They were demanding new fees from KAM. Our St. Dept. gave the manifest to the Taliban and they demanded that all passengers get off the planes and hand over their papers…“dismissed” from the airport so the St. Dept. “can work this out with the Taliban.” All did, but most fled afterwards to safe houses the location of which are unknown to Beck and others.
Tuesday 4 Senators and 2 Congresspersons worked continuously “tearing the St. Dept. a new hole” as Beck told us today, and he went to bed thinking something would work out, but was told Wednesday morning that they had failed, and then the details of what happened. Now, the groups have to go find the people again and get them out.
The head of the Nazarene Fund had negotiated with the CEO of KAM to fly people out and had bought tickets, so it was just people flying out, UNTIL the St. Dept. tells the Taliban about it.
The funds raised is over $35 million now. Snopes is saying they cannot claim or deny that this is actually happening. Good grief! Beck says that there are 8 to 10 more planes that they have to use, plus of course, the four in the airport.
