I expect he will soon be canonized by the Communist Pope Francis.

Well, at least he saved the passengers on the plane flying over after 9/11. But other than that…

What plane was that, Liz? Please remind me.

It mentioned in the article that shortly after 9/11 a plane flew over Britain’s air space and the RAF was about to shoot it down but he told them not to. Turned out it was no threat, had just lost signal.

Thanks, Liz. I missed that.

I’m glad it was not shot down, but I wonder how Blair knew it was no threat.

They weren’t getting any radio communication from it at first, but then it came back on and they were able to communicate with it.

I see. Thanks for that, Liz !

Interesting - Blairs response, trying to justify his “partnership” with the EU, reminds me of Clinton’s excuse for partnering with the Chinese for trade.
(Oh, yes, it was going to turn China into an enlightened democracy!)
Blair’s excuse was just as bogus.

Farage gave them hell consistently and brilliantly. If there was one thing about the EU and its superfluous parliament that can be said to have been good, it was was the presence and frank speaking of Nigel Farage. Since Britain left the horrible pretense of a union - led out of it chiefly by Mr. Farage - and he consequently stopped speaking in its powerless parliament, there has been nothing whatsoever good about it.
