The fact that this was totally preventable - that it is, therefore, on purpose - is what makes it such an outrage. And that it’s being imposed on us by evil idiots who think they’re being clever - “make gas unaffordable, destroy the economy and everyone will buy electric cars!” - social engineering at its finest.
