Maybe AOC rules Fox News, now.

Over the past two weeks, Tucker interviewed Trump for a series of videos and Elon Musk.

Do you think Fox News viewers will miss him? Do you think Fox News will regret this action? Who is next?

OMG! It may become an epidemic!

Enormously surprising. Fox throwing away one of its best assets?

What can be the reason?

In April 2020, the Tucker Carlson Tonight program surpassed Hannity as the highest-rated primetime cable show, averaging an audience of 4.56 million viewers.
In the second quarter of 2020, the show saw an average audience of 4.33 million viewers. That was the largest number of viewers for any program in the history of cable news.
According to Mediaite in 2022, “Carlson [was] the number-one watched host among Democrats in the key 25-54 age demographic – across all networks” in the month of October.

It must not be about ratings. A bit of speculation could be that Fox tried to get Tucker to alter his show and style and content and particular observations…and Tucker said no and then the ultimatum was to leave with a contract pay off.

I suppose we will find out something as the week progresses.

His firing is incomprehensible.

His hour was all I watched on TV. (Except for old series and movies occasionally.)

Yes, that was a shock. Bad move for Fox - he was about the only thing left propping them up!
I think they may regret it as their ratings drop like a lead balloon.
Good news Lemon got fired. Maybe Fox will hire him? Ha!

Fox couldn’t argue that Carlson was irrelevant — far from it. He was getting more than three million viewers per night. His show was one of deep insights. He’d just recently featured Elon Musk in a discussion of Artificial Intelligence. He’s spoken with former President Trump. He was at the top of his game.
But the January 6 revelations, I believe, are the chief reason why Tucker Carlson and Fox News “parted ways”.

Murdoch has been concerned about the host’s reporting on the January 6th Capitol riot. Carlson’s coverage of the riot included presenting footage not shown by the January 6 committee. Among other things, the footage shows Capitol Police escorting the so-called “QAnon Shaman” Jacob Chansley around the Capitol and letting him into spaces.
Other footage presented by Carlson showed Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick walking around after the riot, contradicting liberal claims that he was killed during the violence. Tucker also reported on evidence that suggested that federal agents may have been the ones who incited the violence.
According to court documents, the undercover agents seen in body cam footage were not only observing but actively encouraging the protesters with chants like “Go! Go! Go!” “Stop the Steal!” and “Whose House? Our House!”
The curious thing about the report that Murdoch was directly responsible for pushing out Tucker is that last month, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) called for Tucker to be censored, insisting that Murdoch “has a special obligation to stop Tucker Carlson from going on tonight, now that he’s seen how he has perverted and slimed the truth, and from letting him go on again and again and again.”
Democrats may have wanted Tucker out at Fox News, but wherever he ends up next, he could become an even bigger problem for them.

I fervently hope so!

All the other pro-MAGA hosts employed by Fox should go on strike until Tucker is brought back.

“There’s word that Mr. Carlson intended to have an epic episode tonight, where he was reportedly going to delve into the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit and clear his name. He had guests lined up, but the bigwigs at Fox torpedoed the idea, leading to the host quitting. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how things went down, but that hasn’t satisfied his viewers. And there’s a competing narrative: Carlson would discuss the CBS ‘60 Minutes’ episode on January 6 but quit when producers said it was a no-go.”

So it could have been the Jan.6 reports, or his intended report on the Dominion lawsuit, or as Robert Kennedy suggested, it could have been his reporting on Pfizer and their “vaccine”.
Or, a combination of all three - I’m sure Murdoch didn’t like any of those, nor Pfizer or Dominion.
I predict that their ratings will collapse, while Tucker recovers nicely in some other venue. But it certainly exposes Foxes bias.
