Trump still pushes the vaccines

Yes, it takes someone with a big ego to maintain the level of self-confidence they need to function well in such a position.

I’d be a lot more comfortable with that assessment if it weren’t for all the reports of probable jab deaths and lesser harms, plus mysterious deaths of younger people which aren’t even being counted as jab related, we’re not just talking about “failures” of the jabs here. If and when the reality of the injuries becomes clear to a greater number of people his political career may be well and truly over (unfortunately as I don’t see an alternative candidate emerging yet). In short I think he needs to drop this line right now.

Utter rubbish

Some marvellous insights. Thank you.

I think he should at least take the line of Peter Navarro, who was part of his team at the time, who points out that, although they did push for a vaccine, they were also pushing hydroxychloroquine, etc. Thats at least something.

What elected office had Donald Trump held before the US Presidency?
None; not even part time PTA.
Was Donald Trump a member of the republican party?
No, in fact he preferred running for the democrat nomination but realized that Hilary Clinton had that all sewn up. He has been a major supporter and donor to the democratic party, including to that snake Chuck Schumer. Perfectly understandable when considered in the context of a businessman trying to grease local politicians.
He looked at the lineup of pathetic sad sacks who were seeking the republication nomination and decided, rightly, that among such a group even he would stand out.
He was able to manipulate enough of the electorate with his idiotic “MAGA”, “lock her up”, “build the wall”, chants to secure an Electoral College victory. A lot of frustrated people voted for him, hoping for a change of direction back to sanity, including me. I donated $500.00 to his campaign and another $500.00 to other republican candidates.
So what did we get?
Promises to reform the medical monopolies vanished on the night of the election.
The wall was never built.
Hilary Clinton remains at large.
No effort whatsoever went into nuclear research, although nuclear power is clearly the only viable energy option of the future.
He could not even control his own adminstration; the swamp outsmarted or ignored him at every turn.
He came in with no team so had to depend on a group of swampers, most of whom detested him.
Yes, he presided over a period of economic growth and low unemployment. He achieved that by increasing the Country’s credit card limit and spending to the max.
The plans for stealing the 2020 election were hatched under his nose and quite likely with the full knowledge and co-operation of some of his entourage.
America is circling the drain and a whole swathe of people want to put their faith in a man who will be 78 at the next presidential election.
This country had better wake up, and soon.
And you can add to this, that he co-operated in the active and deliberate suppression of cheap, effective, over the counter, treatments for COVID. Not out of any malicious intent, but through naivete and a complete lack of political understanding.

Laziness and haste on my part: GS = God’s sake. FGS = for God’s sake.
Sorry, I will try to do better.

Even the little that you grudgingly admit that he accomplished was way more than any of the other candidates would have likely accomplished.
You don’t seem to realize what he was up against - a “leviathan” administrative state that would stymie even an experienced politician.
Even JFK, a Democrat, lost his life for threatening to expose the corruption of the CIA.

You are probably right about the potential of the other candidates.
We had better find someone, and soon, there are two great issues facing this nation now:
1st; the demographic collapse into 3rd world status. White people are not forming families, whatever the reasons for this are, they had better be identified and fixed.
2nd; the energy crunch is almost upon us. There is no sign that TPTB recognize this or what to do about it. Pete (Mrs.) Buttegeig is of no help at all with his pushing of backdoor legislation to cripple auto manufacturers.

Its not that they “don’t recognize” these problems - they are CAUSING them - on purpose.
It’s all part of the “Cloward - Piven” plan - overwhelm the economy - with floods of illegal welfare spongers and lack of energy sources - till it collapses. Then rule from atop the pile of rubble that remains as “saviors” ushering in a new Utopia!
Thats the whole plan.

Could you be specific about who “they” are?

The leftists in politics (such as Obama, Biden, etc), the leftist “intellectuals” writing the script for the latest Marxist “cause” like BLM, Antifa, CRT, transgenderism, Climate Change, Open Borders, etc, etc, etc, and the leftist billionares who fund it all.

Thank you Liz; that pretty much lines up with my understanding of the situation.
What did your man Trump do about them?
NOT A DAMN THING.

Yes, actually, he did.
By opening up drilling and making the U.S. energy independent, putting tarriffs on China, de-regulating businesses, enforcing immigration laws and strengthening border security, among other things, he saved us - at least temporarily - from the economic collapse that Obama and Biden started and are now finishing. And that was all pretty much with both hands tied behind his back by the Democrats.

Energy independence is a meaningless trope. He didn’t get the Keystone pipeline through did he?
Tariffs on China! Without any meaningful attempt to increase the production capacity of US industry.
De-regulating businesses! Are you out of your mind? I run a small business with my Son (electrical contracting), regulations proliferated during dick-heads administration.
Remember the “fill out out your taxes on a postcard BS”, that he boasted about?
My gross income is less than $30,00.00 a year, but I have to employ an accounting professional to avoid huge penalties from the IRS.
Border security??? He did nothing to stem the flow of desperate people from central and south america, and points all over the place: Africans, Russians, Arabs, etc, who are pouring over the border now.
The economic collapse that is coming will not be mitigated by Trump. He is a phony, a con-man, an egotistical BS merchant.
Incidentally; he had two years of a republican congress; had he had a clue of what was required
He was full of shit, and still is, his ego is driving him now, to all of our detriment.

Why is energy independence meaningless? We didnt have 4.30 a gallon gas with Trump. He got the Keystone pipeline started - Biden shut it down and is now begging the Arabs for gas.
What planet are you on?

Right! And Putin did not dare start a war when Trump was the leader of the erstwhile free world.

You set far too much store by Trump. It is just as likely that the Ukranian fascists were reluctant to commit genocide against the russian speakers of East Ukraine until their man was in office.
Putin probably felt that Trump was more likely to respond to diplomatic measures.
