To All Members: a Request

Links to interesting articles and videos are always welcome, and we are grateful for all New Topics posted with links.

BUT-

It would be very helpful if the member who posts an article or video would tell us why they are posting it.

Please say why. You could be very brief. You could say for instance “I like this.” Or “This is very annoying/distressing/amazing/unbelievable…”

Or you could post a quotation from the article or video that shows immediately the gist of what it is about, an indication of why you are posting it.

Or you could write your own comment on what we are about to read or hear - at whatever length you like.

Or you could do all of those things.

But please, however short or long your comment or quotation, put it as an introduction to EVERY item you bring to our attention. Each and every one.

Slightly off topic, but this is the age of the podcast and the video, I have spent quite a lot of time listening to these and pausing them to write down a quote, which is extremely time consuming. I wish more of these people would produce transcripts with their videos, you can easily make these now with software you don’t have to type it all out manually.
