That’s a good one - of two great men!
Simply, superb!
Holy Warriors - in the Armor of God, no less. I can endorse that kind of religiosity, with some reservations that anyone reading this here can imagine.
The Armor of God! I didn’t know. What’s the source?
Ephesians 6:10-18 “The Armor of God”
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Ephesians 6:11 - “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” - is the passage that superstitious Christian theocrats pointed to when Trump and others were shot on 13 July at 6:11 p.m. Eastern Time - though some say it was 6:12.
Ah, yes. The epistle to the Ephesians. Not - according to contemporary scholarship - written by Paul. Those genuinely of Paul’s authorship are, it is claimed: Romans, Galatians, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Philemon, Philippians, 1 Thessalonians.
Ephesians is certainly far too well written to be by Paul! Compare it to the sloppy writing of Romans.
The KJV translation of 6:12 reveals the document’s main or at least part authorship:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
The use of the words “principalities” and “powers” marks the passage as being distinctly of Gnostic authorship. Confirmed by the phrases “the darkness of this world” and “spiritual wickedness in high places”. (I have titled my series on Gnosticism, The Darkness of this World.)
The “New Testament” is so-called by Christianity to emphasize that that collection of documents (varying considerably in different cultures) proves the fulfillment of (what it calls) the “Old Testament” prophecies. The documents are arranged in an order that seems to bear this out. It is not, however, the order in which they were composed. The letters of Paul are the oldest. The synoptic gospels came later: Mark, then Matthew - written by more than one hand; then Luke and Acts written by Paul’s friend, a medical doctor, significantly contradicting Paul’s own account of his apostleship in some places. St. John’s gospel came later still, strongly influenced by Greek philosophy. In John’s first chapter it is "“revealed” that the “world” was created by “the Son”. By Jesus Christ. So Jesus, though incarnated at a certain earthly time, is eternally part of the Godhead.
Regardless of what scholarship maintains, I do not believe that Paul wrote 1 Corinthians 13: "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity … " It is one of the very few beautiful poetic passages in the “New Testament”. It is a poem. Again, compare it with Romans.
I think you are right, that the picture of Trump and Musk in armor was intended to refer to that passage in Ephesians. Still, it’s a splendid picture of those two warriors. As the warrior Trump cried out when he was shot, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”"
Yes, if the Deep State had anything to do with the attempted assassination, it backfired on them magnificently when the shooter missed and Trump stood up triumphantly saying, “Fight, fight, fight!!!”
I wasn’t aware of the Biblical source at all. Thanks, Jillian, for the Pauline exegesis. He was, indeed, a bastard.
