USA Today: “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.”
Bill Glahn’s comment at PowerLine:
Trump and the Republicans have nothing to hide because there are no “Epstein files”, at least not in the sense understood in the fever swamps.
What is imagined to exist is a list of names (in Epstein’s handwriting? Notarized?) of guilty persons, and videos of unspeakable acts. No such items currently exist, if they ever did, beyond what is already in the public domain.
But the government will spend weeks/months chasing this chimera, and years/decades in court afterward arguing over the release of the nonexistent.

You can’t prove a negative, so this saga will never end.
Yes, if there are no files or tapes - at least none that we’ll ever see - then its just a big side show leading down into a rabbit hole. And the Republicans making a big deal about it should know better.
They should know this is not the time to get distracted from what’s important - making sure the next election can’t be rigged, putting a stop to the judicial coup by leftist judges, bringing traitors to justice - it’s a long list, and Epstein is at the bottom.
They need to get their priorities right.
Well, one positive aspect of this is that the file revelations are backfiring on the Democrats!
So far it is Democrats who are being exposed and looking worse all the time for taking money and advice from Epstein, as he assisted them in trying to destroy Trump, and Trump has been vindicated for assisting the police and FBI in investigating him.
