I knew that parts of Aristotle’s Ethics could be interpreted as being related to or inspired by the Golden Rule. When I read it his interpretations of virtuous character and relationships seemed clearly related to the Rule. He never used the common formula but parts of his prescriptions make more sense now the I know there are precursors that might have influenced him.
