Well, Trump may have inadvertently given it the final shove in that direction, but the weight of Canada’s own leftist population is the main factor that’s been dragging it that way to begin with.
It’s worse than the U.S. “left coast”, such as California, which did shift slightly more red in the last election, but still didn’t escape the grip of its own corrupt communist dictators.

But is the Toronto City News telling the truth, Cogito? Is a survey of opinion a reliable measurement of fact?
I ask because US conservative columnists deny that there has been any change in the volume of border-crossings.

I understand that air travel to the US is down significantly. All I can tell you is that there is a level of animosity towards America that I have never witnessed before. Yes, Canada is a left leaning country, but the Conservatives were headed for a decisive victory just a few weeks ago. Now it seems they are doomed. Having said this, I am aware of my dismal record of predicting elections!. I was wrong about the Trump triumph in the US, perhaps I will be wrong here too… We will know on Monday night.
