Ode To Billie Joe - "There was a virus goin' round, Papa caught it, and he died last spring."

Remember the song from 1967, Ode To Billie Joe, by the beautiful, talented and intelligent Bobbie Gentry? (She really is all of those things. Check out her bio.) “There was a virus goin’ round, Papa caught it, and he died last spring.” How could that have happened? People don’t die from viruses, do they? I guess we should have all locked down and covered our faces with useless masks for a few years. Maybe communist victory could have been achieved as early as 1970.

We are overwhelmed by outrage and disaster.

Man-made disease and terrorism have won.

With the help of the Democrats, the Chinese Communists and the Taliban are the victors.

Yes, I remember Bobby Gentry! Great songs.
Maybe referring to the Hong Kong Flu. My father in law nearly died from it.
That is the big elephant in the room - we’ve had worse viruses than this, and no mask mandates, vaccine mandates, or lockdowns. Why now?
Oh, take your pick:
A) The Marxists in charge have realized it’s a useful tool to destroy the economy
B)…facilitate voter fraud and steal the election
C)…make millions off the sale of the vaccine, while killing off quite a few of us with it in the process
D) All of the above
