There is much speculation on which nations might have sabotaged the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. None of it makes political sense.
There has been some speculation on oil bulletin boards that the explosions might have been the result of poor installation and shoddy maintenance (by Russia).
And then, there’s this article that suggests that the explosions might have been a military accident, given the habitual dumping of ammunition in the Baltic:

Very interesting! With all that explosive materiel in the Baltic Sea, the wonder is that the whole of northern Europe hasn’t been blown up accidentally.
