Ha! No surprise there. During Obama’s tenure, they were tasked with improving our relationship with Muslims (still don’t know what that has to do with space).
With Trump, they actually got to do a space program!
Now, with Biden, they’re doing gender pronouns.
I’m detecting a pattern here…
“NASA is fully committed to supporting every employee’s right to be addressed by their correct name and pronouns. All NASA employees currently have the option and flexibility to include their gender pronouns in their customized email signature blocks. This option remains unchanged and is supported by NASA leadership so that employees can share their gender identities and show allyship to the LGBTQIA+ community.”
For how long will employees have “the option and flexibility” to include their gender pronouns before it becomes mandatory? The cis-het employees who do not exercise to put down “he/his” or “she/her” may be assumed not to be “allies” and mark themselves as hostile to the L…+ “community”. Those who do, have signaled their willingness to go along with the subordination of rocket science to the social-construct cult . They are useful idiots, whose actions and speech can be scrutinized for inherent hetero-normative bias with the threat of cancellation.
The old-fashioned any-job-men-can-do-women-can-do-too cis-het feminists are hardest hit by the social construct cult. This goes beyond transwomen beating women in competitive sport. Women’s quotas in the work-force and board-rooms are directly threatened by diverse social constructs. They can try putting themselves about as “they/their” - as a young cis-het feminists working in tech recently told me was how she exercised her right to be called by a “correct” pronoun. She, sorry, they suggested it as a neutral form suitable for all inclusive and diverse English-speakers - but no gender-diversity activist will be taken in by it. Universal use of the third-person plural would silence and make invisible those individuals adversely impacted and marginalized by linguistic and other social norms.
Yes, I don’t doubt it will soon be mandatory, and anyone who objects will be labeled as a “hater”.
It becomes more Orwellian by the hour.
The place that I work (one of the big 3 automakers) initiated that last year. Less than .01% of the emails that I see come by have that pronoun crap in it. The CEO did it because… optics. Did you guys catch the Matt Walsh talk last night? He explained why the pronoun bull is bull very eloquently (as religious as he is).
Walsh is doing a great job with that - I’ve seen clips of him in that interview on Dr. Phil with the two trannies.
