Israeli strikes inside Iran have begun after the regime refused to give up their quest for a nuclear weapon while continuing to threaten Israel and the United States. The operation is to “remove the Iranian threat”, with targeting of the nuclear program and ballistic missile capabilities.
It needed to be done, since Iran would have nuked them and the US as soon as they made the bombs.
I know the Israeli forces will do a good job; I just hope they can completely cripple Irans ability to retaliate, and that none of Irans allies are drawn in, escalating the conflict.
President Trump - an unshakeable pro-semite - said:
“I have seen speculation that the Israel-Iran war will ‘divide MAGA’. Perhaps. Maybe we will find out how large the anti-Israel/pacifist wing of the right actually is. My guess is it will barely be discernible.”
In five waves of attacks launched Friday, Israeli planes hammered Iranian nuclear sites, military facilities, and the country’s top military leadership.
And the breathtakingly bold Israeli operations appear far from over.
The initial attacks decapitated Iran’s military, including Mohammad Bagheri, commander in chief of the Iranian armed forces who was, until his death, second in command only to the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Also killed, according to the Times, were Gholamali Rashid, deputy commander in chief of the military; Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of Iran’s air force; and Major Gen. Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard, an elite military force — and two of Iran’s top nuclear scientists.
The attacks also damaged the Iranian nuclear site at Natanz, about 200 miles south of Tehran.
“We struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear enrichment program. We struck at the heart Iran’s nuclear weaponization program,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said as he announced the raids.
"The ongoing attacks are aimed at dismantling the Iranian threat to Israel’s survival. This operation will continue for as long as necessary to eliminate this danger.”
Yes, I think Trump is right - the “anti-Israel pacifist wing” of his supporters will not amount to much.
The Democrats and Fake News will pounce on this and try to make a mountain out of a molehill, but it won’t stick.
“The official Iranian media outlet IRNA reported on Sunday that Israel detonated car bombs in the capital city of Tehran. According to reports, some of the explosions occurred in populated areas.
Two Gulf sources told Reuters that at least 14 Iranian nuclear scientists were eliminated in Israeli attacks over the weekend, some of whom were killed in the car bombings.”
If it is true that President Trump asked the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, not to have Ayatollah Ali Khamenei killed, what could be the president’s reason for making that request?
The Mossad’s teams neutralized dozens of missiles before launch, creating conditions that enabled the Israeli Air Force’s F-35 aircraft to operate with impunity, which explains the surprisingly limited scope of Iran’s retaliatory response.
Israel took months to smuggle components for hundreds of quadcopter drones equipped with explosives—using suitcases, commercial trucks and shipping containers—alongside ammunition designed for unmanned platform deployment …
Drones represented a consistent element of Israel’s Iranian operations. In 2022, agents deployed explosive-laden quadcopters to attack an Iranian drone manufacturing facility in the western city of Kermanshah. The following year, they used drones to target an ammunition production facility in Isfahan. [More details needed here.]
The Mossad prepared for the current drone operation years in advance. It possessed intelligence regarding Iran’s missile storage locations, but required positioning to attack them, considering the country’s vast size and distance from Israel.
The Mossad imported the quadcopters through commercial channels, frequently utilizing unknowing business partners. Field agents collected the munitions and distributed them to operational teams. Israel trained team leaders in third countries, who subsequently trained their respective teams.
The Mossad understood that trucks transporting missiles from storage to launch sites represented a critical bottleneck for Iran, which possessed four times more missiles than transport vehicles. Teams eliminated dozens of trucks and continued operations deep into Friday.
The operations and their public disclosure create another significant impact, Shine explained. “No one in Iran’s senior leadership can be certain they are not known to Israeli intelligence and will not become a target,” she said. “It’s not merely the damage inflicted but the psychological anxiety it generates.”
