Nejwa Ali was a federal employee, trusted by the Biden administration with the authority to admit or deny people seeking refuge in the United States. Before that she had worked as a public affairs officer for the PLO, which was booted out of its D.C. office for ties to terrorism.
Despite this background, the Biden DHS hired her. Her digital footprint—plastered with anti-Semitic slurs and Hamas propaganda—was public and constant. After Hamas terrorists murdered over a thousand Israelis on October 7, 2023, Ali posted a picture of a Hamas paraglider armed with a machine gun, celebrating the assault and writing, “Free Palestine.” Her commentary included, “Fuck Israel and any Jew who supports Israel.”
Ali wasn’t immediately fired. No, she was placed on paid leave by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Paid. Leave. For publicly celebrating one of the worst terrorist massacres in modern history.
In February 2025, under the reinstated Trump administration, Nejwa Ali was finally fired from federal service.
