But what if the social media platform defers censorship decisions to the government itself? Can the government circumvent free speech protections by using a cut-out to censor citizen speech critical of its policies or preferred political candidates? “

All the big Social Media platforms are nothing more than fronts for government propaganda, censorship, psy-ops, thought and speech control.
This was made really obvious by Musks attempted buyout of Twitter, which exposed their huge amount of “bots”.
“1984” doesn’t even come close to them.
