About the leak of Israel’s plans to strike Iran, the following paragraphs come from the (pro-Republican but largely anti-Trump) National Review:
The most glaring example of [the Biden administration’s] questionable handling of the Iran portfolio is Biden Iran envoy Robert Malley’s continued employment by the State Department amid a probe into his handling of classified materials and the possibility that he shared information with the regime. Though Malley has since been suspended, it’s noteworthy that the administration has opted to technically keep him in the role, no doubt wishing to avoid the political fallout that would come with terminating him.
Possibly worse than Malley’s appointment is that of Ariane Tabatabai, an academic turned State Department and Pentagon official. She was part of the now-infamous Iran Experts Initiative — a program used by Tehran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cultivate relationships with foreign academics who could carry water for the regime.
At one point, according to reporting from Semafor, which revealed the program’s existence, Tabatabai opted to skip a conference in Israel after an Iranian official instructed her not to go. She also consulted with this same Iranian official regarding how she should testify in hearings before Congress. Her job today — chief of staff to the the Pentagon official who oversees special operations.
Since October 7, pro-Hamas ideologues within the State Department have labored to leak information that would help their cause and damage Israel’s war effort.
President Biden’s appointment of individuals who are too compromised to be trusted to perform their jobs with the trust of the American public is a scandal — and one that deserves more attention from the press and Capitol Hill.
Comment;
Considering the anti-American disposition of the Biden-Harris regime, I am surprised by only one thing in the disgusting story - that Robert Malley has been suspended. He needs to be in prison. So does Ariane Tabatabai.
I imagine complicated plots to explain the incomprehensible fact that Israel confided its “secret plans” to Biden’s State Department and Department of Defense. The Israelis could have saved time by instructing one of their own foreign office boffins to send the plans direct to the evil Iranian tyrants.
Yes, not only should Malley and Tabatai be in prison, but the traitors who hired them, including Obama, Biden and whoever’s running the Pentagon.
And it all exposes, predictably, the weakness and corruption of our Representatives in Congress.
I’m sure they will send a strongly worded letter!
Ariane Tabatabai has been promoted to Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Force Education and Training, a position she’s completely unqualified for.
Counterterrorism analysts whose reports would have crossed Tabatabai’s desk, say that for at least the past year their product has been watered down, misquoted, or outright quashed. Tabatabai had the opportunity to shape the intelligence to meet her needs, the analysts say, and they say it’s likely that the overt intel collected during that period went to Iran.
Tabatabai’s position at State was as a policy adviser to disgraced Iran envoy Robert Malley, who’s accused of mishandling classified information himself. As the Washington Free Beacon reported, Tabatabai has been a frequent guest at the White House courtesy of Phil Gordon, who’s Kamala Harris’s national security advisor and who’s collaborated with Tabatabai on multiple opinion pieces “argu[ing] against sanctions on the Iranian regime”.
Tabatabai was at the White House just two months after Semafor revealed she was a key member of a secretive Iranian influence group, the Iran Experts Initiative, that reported back to Tehran’s foreign ministry, according to the logs. She participated in at least seven other White House gatherings throughout the end of 2023 and into April 2024, mixing with officials from a range of cabinet-level agencies.
Anyone who would be appointed as DoD’s chief learning officer at this point is undoubtedly woke and likely not extremely helpful in terms of readiness and quality training, but having Tabatabai there is an insult. She should be nowhere near the Pentagon due to her relationship with the Iranian regime, but this is a very slight move in the right direction.
Comment:
By “a very slight move in the right direction” the authors mean that this "promotion " is actually a demotion. Their idea is that she’s been moved to a less “sensitive” position while the treachery she is suspected of is investigated.
The move is absurd. She should never have been employed by the DoD. Right now she should be in custody, awaiting execution for treason.
“She should be in custody, awaiting execution for treason.” Exactly!! And the people who hired her!!
The fact that shes still there at all is so much worse than an insult. It’s a threat to national security, arranged by our government puppetmasters.
And then they have the gall to accuse Trump of being the “threat to our democracy”.
In fact, he’s worse than Hitler!!!
We are so far beyond Orwell now we’re like in the sequel already.
