There are no permanent friends or enemies in geopolitics, only permanent interests. (Nazi-Soviet pact, US alliance with China against the Soviet Union etc.)

Very interesting. Hard to see what will come of a co-operative deal between Russia and India. It may really weaken China. But how will it affect India’s standing with the West (such as the West now is)?
