Attack? They only speak of landing.
It would be hard to conduct intelligent negotiations for future trade and touring relations - if for instance that’s what the aliens have in mind - with a species so stupid that they try to change the weather by eating bugs.
However, it seems likely that when this alien species do finally land, their superiority will in any case be decisive for the future of our world.
