I’m not sure what to make of this. It’s as if he wants to take credit for the vaccines so much that he’s just ignoring the evidence against them.
So except for the difference that he doesnt think they should be forced by mandate, he’s still agreeing with Fauci, Gates and Big Pharma.
What makes it even stranger is that (if I’m remembering this correctly), back when he was campaigning he was against vaccines in general, because of the side effects on children that some claim that they cause.
And you’re right, he may lose much of his base over this.
He may lose some. But I don’t think he’ll lose many. He makes mistakes, but he’s still the man.
Don’t get me wrong. I love the guy, but he’s treading on perilous ground here. Many, perhaps most of his supporters are highly sceptical of these vaccines. I fear he is asymptotically close to saying that the unvaccinated are “deplorables”.
Also, Scott Atlas, who he appointed as spokesman about the virus in that last year, is speaking out against the vaccines.(I can’t remember if he’s anti-mandate only or also anti-vax)
At any rate, there is definitely a sort of “cognitive dissonance” developing there.
