Jesus, the Jewish gentleman who created the universe, has not yet divulged his reasons for making black holes. Or anything else.
But we humans have leant how to photograph one of them all on our own.

Fascinating! But I still think that what astronomers speculate is a “black hole” is actually an electric plasma phenomenon of some sort.
Hopefully now that they’ve achieved the ability to film it, they’ll gain more knowledge of it.

I can’t help noticing that it’s not very black, it’s purple with a blueish bit in the middle.
