Globalization - ha-ha-ha!

Putin will cut off gas to European countries unless they pay in rubles. Gas buying countries must open accounts in Russia’s state-controlled Gazprombank, which will convert foreign currency into rubles.

That will teach Europe why energy independence is critical.

Yes, the need for energy independence is one of the most obvious, self-evident necessities that anyone with two brain cells can understand.
That’s why it is quite obvious that Biden’s destruction of ours was not just stupidity - although he is very stupid - but the deliberate act of a traitor.

There is nothing intrinsically wrong with economic interdependence, we should all try to do what we do best and rely on others to do what they do. Energy independence is no more necessary than is independence in other items. What is essential is that supplies must be secure, and a sure and certain way of destroying that is to go around meddling in other peoples business and getting a reputation for causing deliberate, wanton, destruction.

Becoming dependent on Chinese Communists for anything - much less just about everything - was a huge mistake, for which we will pay a painful cost.

I agree. TPTB were incredibly naive about China (or, more probably, just paid off). They are not and never will be our friends. We have benefited from our relationship with Mexico and central america.
And with Canada; the US should be offering Alberta and Saskatchewan immediate statehood. Followed eventually by all of English speaking Canada. The french can stew in their own bigotry.
