A study was published in the Lancet that was funded by … the GATES Foundation! No conflicts of interest there then …

Dr Haidong Wang from the University of Washington was the lead author of the paper according to the Telegraph (which doesn’t mention the funding):

It’s just mind-boggling how these people just keep on pushing the same lies, even after their entire scam has been exposed!
They are either encased in such a bubble that they’re unaware of this, or they know it but are convinced they are untouchable, and don’t care.

The Lancet study has been challenged at the Daily Sceptic, apparently computer models were used in the “study” (I did rather skim over this):
A new paper in the Lancet claims that the pandemic death toll is three times higher than official estimates. But it's based on six models that churn out nonsensical results.
