And it looks like Macron won again anyway.
So sad for France.

Liz, no one has won yet, the 2nd round of the French elections is on the 24th April and the elections end on 13th May.

Oh wow! I didn’t realize they had a “second round”.
Maybe there’s still hope?

So, in his acceptance speech he endorsed Le Pen - that should give her a great chance of beating Macron!

A lot would seem to hinge on which way left-wing Melenchon voters will go, judging by this graph (see Vote share - 1st round):

Apparently they are disproportionately young people (according to the Katie Hopkins clip above) which is not terribly surprising since he is the more left wing candidate apparently. Unfortunately he has endorsed Macron, but of course they might have reasons not to vote for Macron, so it seems there is still some hope of an upset.

The dirty tricks and lies indicate how nasty Macron and his faithful voters are. (Same applies, of course, to Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, Nadler, Warren etc. and their faithful voters.) All the more reason for hoping that Le Pen wins.

Macron is the most likely to win the election. Zelensky needs good relations with Western leaders.

“A poll released Thursday by the firm Odoxa has Macron and Le Pen just three percentage points apart, with Macron receiving 53 per cent in the polling and Le Pen receiving 47 per cent.”

“According to Odoxa, President Macron is having great difficulties in wooing voters who turned out for other candidates in the first round of the election, and has not been able to attract more than 50 per cent of the voters of any of the candidates who were knocked out in the first round.”

“Meanwhile, Marine Le Pen should be able to count on around 80 per cent of those who voted for conservative writer and pundit Eric Zemmour.”
