I can see nothing to encourage hope. Except Jeanne’s spirit of optimism and her faith in America, which I wish I could share. What do you see the future to be, Yazmin?
Other than people waking up about the fact that the Biden administration is incompetent (there’s crowds of people in Football Stadiums that are chanting “Fuck Biden”) it’s uncertain as least where I see what is going to happen next.
Yes, those of us who hate him far outnumber those that don’t, but he’s got control of all the F15s and bombs and such, and I don’t doubt he’d use them.
One thought that really disturbs me is that if the West succumbs to this rising tyranny there won’t any longer be a source of hope for people living under tyranny anywhere. Citizens living in the Soviet Union had the free West to give them hope, as do apostates in Islamic countries. We have to defeat the tyrants, we simply have to.

They have been relentlessly doing U-turns on everything, so we may yet see them trying to bring them in, but for this much hesitancy to be seen even in the first phase gives me a little hope that the lockdown sceptics are having an impact.
I sure hope so, although I doubt they’re hesitant for conscience sake. Probably just a tad worried they’re pushing a bit too far, too fast. Australia is kind of letting the cat out of the bag.
