A lot of people are talking about Black Rock.

ESG is a new one on me, sounds distinctly Schwabish. Apparently one criticism is that if the stock price of companies with a poor ESG score falls then investors will get a higher return in dividends (i.e. investors are rewarded for the company’s alleged bad performance on environmental and social issues). The companies could suffer though, because the flip side is that it could make it harder for them to raise capital. However this is all assuming that investors have a conscience about such issues and also that they believe the ESG scores are meaningful and accurate.

Yes, this part is very hard for me to compute (in my little pea brain!) It sounds really bad, though.
It’s disturbing that there seem to be so many that don’t appear to have a conscience about this.

Only - you do NOT have a “pea brain”, Liz. I cannot allow you to insult yourself. You are a sage to us.

Haha! Thank you! As long as you think so!
