Didn't he call Donald Trump a Hitler back in the day?

I never really took to Vance. Didn’t he call Donald Trump a Hitler back in the day?
Tucker wasn’t the only one who pushed Trump to pick Vance. So did Don Jr. Don Jr’s business partner Odeem Malek finances Tucker’s show.

I’m not sure what to make of him. But this definitely isn’t an encouraging sign. The most disturbing thing is his apparently close connection to Carlson.
Anyone who hasn’t dissociated themselves from Carlson at this point has chosen - whether they want to or not - to be identified with the “groypers”.
Trump’s dealings with Qatar are already worrying enough, but his connection to them via Carlson, Vance, and his own son, Don Jr, make it worse.
And now Carlson is openly praising Islam, while he poses as a sincere Christian.

See this too:

I fear that if it were not for the blessed Donald Trump, the right could be in trouble. Vance et al. seem to think that the future of the Republican Party is with anti-Semitism.

Good, but what is the connection to my post?

I think what is going on is the infiltration and subversion of the MAGA movement, by people like Carlson, Fuentes, Owens, and others.
They are not only dividing the movement and thus weakening support for Trump, they are also giving Democrats like Shapiro something to point to and say, “See? Trump and his supporters really ARE Nazis and fascists!!”
I don’t know if Vance really agrees with Carlson’s antisemitism, or if he’s just trying to straddle the fence so as not to lose his support, but either way he’s making himself look bad - either antisemitic or just weak.

Well said, Liz. I think you are spot on here. This could be disastrous.

Here’s some awesome news concerning Vance’s friend Tucker (and the rest of them) - Trump posted a video message on Truth Social (from Powerline article “Donald Trump Endorses This Message”) that tells them all to “STFU”!!!
So it looks like Trump is aware of what they’re doing and isn’t going to let it go unnoticed.

Terrific. I’ll look into it.

Well Trump has (finally!!) denounced Tucker Carlson by saying he has “lost his way”, is “not MAGA”, and “not smart enough” to know it!

There’s also a good analysis of the propagandaTucker is pushing at meforum.com -
“Tucker Carlson has become Tehran’s most effective English language propagandist”.
He just openly paints Israel as the evil aggressor controlling US policy in a sinister plot to bomb the Al Asqa Mosque, and the Iranian regime as the innocent victim.
One thing about it, he’s really digging himself deeper into a hole, and burning all his bridges as his insane conspiracy theories get crazier by the minute.

I see it more as a dressing down than a full throated repudiation. Nonetheless, it is a welcome step by Trump.

I hope it will turn out to be a repudiation.

Tucker Carlson has no place in or with the Republican Party. He is a Nazi.

He is an abomination. He deserves nothing less than a full excommunication.
I’m still waiting for Vance to speak out. Very disappointing.
