America is suffering from the mind-crippling disease of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI).
Quote:
With a language all their own, DEI-ists have wormed into just about every facet of American life. The government, its schools, the military, and corporations have all embraced the sect.
Standards are lowered, personal responsibility is eliminated, quality suffers, and acrimony toward various ethnic groups is sanctioned.
But now, there is pushback starting over DEI, in part due to a Supreme Court decision in June. The SCOTUS found that the president and fellows of Harvard University had effectively engaged in racial discrimination in the name of diversity, a decision that functionally invalidated racially conscious college admissions.
Quote:
Faculty [at Bates College] were reported to the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for questioning students’ assertions in class or asking students to think more critically. The environment created by this policy has left professors fearful that a student will use a simple classroom lecture or assignment to terminate their jobs.
The DEI reporting system has been used to intimidate faculty into maintaining leftist orthodoxy in their classrooms … [and] significantly cowed professors in the liberal arts.
Bates no longer resembles an academic institution committed to free speech. [The] DEI system has successfully made almost every professor at the college terrified of his or her own students. With fees to attend Bates set at over $81,000 for the 2023-2024 academic year, parents and students are footing the bill for DEI enforcers alongside the collaborating programs within the college that act as speech police and reporting systems.
The illiberal behavior that has consumed Bates is a glimpse of higher education’s future. Across the country, there are thousands of smaller colleges like Bates, where free speech has been destroyed and its defenders driven underground.
Bates and its faculty preach the college’s commitment to academic excellence, egalitarianism, and freedom. Those words ring hollow when the academics tasked with passing those values on cannot defend them.
It sounds just like the tactics used by
Mao in China’s Cultural Revolution, and that’s exactly what it is - complete with the “struggle sessions” - turning our next generation into a new “Red Guard”.
Is it just a coincidence that the CCP funnels enormous amounts of money into our system - academic and otherwise - and has already documented it’s intention to conquer us through the use of “unrestricted warfare” tactics such as this?
Whether funded by the CCP, the USSR, our our own traitors, every Marxist “agitprop” operation since Marx himself has been so obviously “astroturfed” it’s an insult to the intelligence, and DEI is no different.
Yet they get away with it because they’ve already “greased the wheels” by buying off our corrupt politicians.
