Comments on the Debate

I never watch debates. It is always more theatre than substance, but I would appreciate hearing from the comments from the readers.

I haven’t watched the whole thing yet, but from a few clips have the impression that her debate strategy was (besides lying) just smirking and/or laughing condescendingly at everything Trump said. And of course they never “fact checked” her.
I’ll comment more after I’ve seen the rest…

Please see Three Evil Liars Against Trump, a new post today.

After reading a number of articles by conservative commentators, I quote three from The Federalist that I thought covered the most ground.

Please add any number. The more the better

Thanks, Cogito, for the link to the article about Megan Kelly’s comments in the post under the heading The Fix is in, folks.

I quote from the article:

Megyn Kelly’s post-debate roundup focused in part on Disney executive Dana Walden, who serves as co-chairman of Disney Entertainment where she runs numerous TV properties including ABC News.

"I’m ashamed of those moderators at ABC News. They did exactly what their bosses wanted them to do. The person who runs ABC News is a close personal friend of Kamala Harris, that is responsible for Kamala Harris and her husband meeting,” Kelly said. “They did Dana Walden’s bidding tonight. It was three against one on that debate stage.”

"It was a mistake to trust ABC News with this debate,” she continued. “Those two moderators tried to sink Donald Trump tonight. They’re trying to steal this election. They’re openly working to sink him. It was so bad … Their bias against him and toward her, it’s going to backfire.”

Comment:

Will it backfire? I hope so, but my pessimism deepens.

Why, Oh why, do Republicans go on forever arranging for their candidates to “debate” with unscrupulous, lying, evil “Democrats” - with hostile questioners from the Left-propagandist media?

Yes, what I thought would happen (but didn’t) in Trump’s debate with Biden, DID happen in his debate with Harris. The moderators covered for her, never fact checking her lies, and ganged up on him.

Yes. I get the impression that CNN is trying to be more “moderate”. Its audiences had sunk very low, and they seem to be a bit more balanced now, which would account for their questions and general approach to the debate they moderated being rather more fair. I could be wrong, of course.

ABC are an utter disgrace!

I didn’t see it, but, by all accounts, it was a disaster.

Just goes to show, brainwashed idiots will swallow anything that lying politicians and media dish out.
Another thing Harris said, referring to Jan. 6 -
“Donald Trump left us the worst attack on our Democracy since the Civil War.”
That is so ridiculous, just on the face of it, how could anyone with two brain cells accept it?
But because it fits the false narrative that the Left began pushing as soon as it happened, it’s “acceptable” - at least by the moderators in that debate, and some on this panel of voters - for her to make such an obviously false statement.

OK, I see the link to Fox news. I missed it before I asked my question.

It seems like the upshot of the graph is that Independents (yellow line) were tracking very closely with the Republicans (red line), which is a very good sign. But I still haven’t figured out what in particular the pollsters found so surprising about that.

Well, Trump has announced he’s not going to do another debate with her. Good! As you say, it does no good to debate with "unscrupulous, lying, evil “Democrats”. It just gives them another chance to rig the whole thing against him, and her another chance to spout lies and pretend to be intelligent.

Absolutely agree. There is nothing to be gained by another debate.
