Climate lockdowns and ultimate solution

There is no lockdown planned. These are schemes to lessen traffic congestion. Maybe not good plans.
But making driving in the town more expensive - by charging fines or fees - is also not a bad plan. Decades ago payment to drive in central London was introduced for the same purpose. It probably helped.

Unusual timing, don’t you think? Perhaps congestion and the cost of petrol might persuade citizens to make their own choice. Oh no, that would be a radical idea and these mere peasants aren’t that intelligent!

No climate lockdown planned? The WEF, and all the other usual suspects, have been making noises about it for awhile now. Do you really believe - given what we’ve already seen them accomplish with Covid and it’s subsequent lockdowns - that “climate lockdowns” aren’t already coming down the pike?
It’s just a matter of time…

Yes, but this traffic control scheme - whether good or bad - is not a lockdown and is not just another ridiculous attempt to keep the planet cool.

These old European towns were not built to accommodate automobile traffic. Many streets are narrow. There is nowhere to park. The City sees it as a problem that needs to be solved. They demand a plan. Planners are paid to plan, so they are planning. Their “best laid plans” will of course “go a-gley” as Robbie Burns foretold.

I had no idea that “of mice and men” was from Robert Burn’s poem.

And, then of course in the Hitchhikers movie, there is a chuckle from “the person in charge of planet building” when “and men” is added by the human mortal, as the Mice were sort of godlike beings and the ones, who made all the plans.

And…the masks were just suggested belatedly for keeping transmission down…
