Not just privacy is lost, but control over your own money is lost. It will be like the digital downloads of books and movies, you don’t really own it if it can be altered or deleted.
Best use of cash currently is to buy real goods that you need now or may need, pay off debt and buy some silver and/or other goods that will not lose value for trade.
