I’m not too optimistic. With the rumors of China getting another virus with a 60% mortality rate, I’m expecting worse to come.

I heard about this, but not much more than that. Is Wuhan Lab doing gain of function of this one that broke out in China?

Just so. COVID is not the flu but is remarkably similar in two ways. For the vast majority of people, it is nuisance. For a very small minority of people it can be very disabling and even fatal.

Did you all know that the WHO, or is it the CDC, wants us to know that you can’t get monkeypox from monkeys? Or was that from sex with monkeys? I guess they will rename it so that it is less offensive to monkeys or to those who have sex with monkeys.
So sorry, I was just thinking of some specific names.
