The “Biden” Administration cancelled Trump’s border wall project. But the State of Texas is pushing forward with completion of its own border barrier at a rapid pace. It will resemble the Trump border wall in size and scope.
The move will likely encourage more states along the southwest border to find their own solutions to the current migrant crisis.
Texas is pure American. But I have a question: Can DHS forbid the Texas gov to continue the construction or Texas can build by its own budget?
Well that will be good, but at this point it almost seems about as effective as the boy who put his finger in the dike.
The government of Texas cannot build a wall on federal-owned property without permission of the federal government. I have read that it is building the border-wall on private property by consent of the owners. And I guess also on Texas-state-owned property if necessary.
