I have heard this since yesterday evening. Is Biden this incompetent or are his “people” lying to him. All of this is so hard to fathom.
I have also been hearing on the radio news (Fox) that our government is still air-lifting Americans out, but the news from charity rescue groups is that the airport at Kabul has been closed and the gates welded shut and outside has been empty since the bombing and that the tarmac is today empty of all except military and state department staff. Yet, Fox reports that about 5000 people are outside the gates, waiting to get in and leave.
Are the Americans that have left today (300, I think) are they staff and military? What has anyone else heard?

I don’t know either. You can’t trust half of what you hear, especially if it’s coming from any government official, or most of the media, for that matter.
