Betrayal or What?

Is President Trump really going back on his word? Breaking a promise? if so, why?

Can this be true? It makes no sense!

Yes, it is such a disappointment, as it is such a betrayal of the Iranian protesters who rose up with the assurance that Trump had their back.
Now, in spite of the promises, they will be tortured and killed anyway, because, as everyone knows, that’s what the Iranian regime always does.
I can’t believe that Trump would trust them, or that Israel would fear their retaliation, unless it is some kind of “strategic feint”. Tariffs only?
But of course Carlson and his fellow Qatar shills will be happy they got their way.

Yes, they will be, very - if they did. Everything’s still uncertain.

I’m not sure I have the patience to wait and see calmly.

But I don’t after all have a choice. Wait and see I must.

An article at Gellerreport.com - “The Two Trumps”, lays out the contrast between Trump’s dealings with Qatar and ISIS in his first term and now.
I hate to admit it, but it doesn’t “bode well”.
It makes me wonder if Qatar has already gained too much power for even Trump to resist.

I understand your point, Liz.

Robert Spencer, author of the article you link us to, is bitter.

I’m disturbed. And bewildered. I’m waiting to see what happens. Do I have a sense of dread? Certainly, but I remind myself how much President Trump has done for us that we are grateful for. There may be method in his apparent madness over Qatar. Maybe, maybe.

Yes, I’m hoping that, too.
