Barking Bird, Tweeting Dog

Elon Musk is changing the Twitter emblem of a bird to a dog.

Transformation in progress.

So from now will there be tweets or barks?

I tend to think that this creature will whistle, but don’t ask me why?

Interesting! I wondered why I keep seeing a dog when I click on a Twitter link!

But, it isn’t blue and biddie-like. It is just a dog. Shoot!

A bird changed into a dog! It’s a miracle. Two more, and Musk can be canonized.

It doesn’t seem a necessary change. I wonder if it’s done simply to kill a mocking bird.

I would have chosen a more ferocious looking dog, but one with class. Woof! Have you woofed today?

Wouldn’t he have to change the name of the platform? Barker? :relaxed:

Yes, he would have to! Barker is a fine suggestion.

to kill a mockingbird – good one! :relaxed:
If he renamed it MockingBird, what were once “tweets” would then be “mocks” – “retweets” then “remocks”. Trump’s tweets were often mocks.

Just go all the way and say, “Mocking Jay.” You know…as in the “Hunger Games?” Fighting for freedom against Tyranny, etc.

Beautiful.

New emblem for Twitter?

Not for Twitter. That’s the logo for the book and movie series that Jeanne referred to, The Hunger Games. It’s called the Mocking Jay. I don’t know how it gets that name because I haven’t seen the movies. But it is an arresting image.

It is a very arresting image.

“Hunger Games” doesn’t deserve anything so elegant.

It is the emblem for the Resistance and has additional meaning for the lead character and the people that begin the Resistance. It is anti-Hunger Games, anti-Elite Oligarchy or Tyrant. So it is beautiful.

It is beautiful in itself.
