They have “convinced so many people”.
Todays youth are, sadly, more ignorant and gullible than any generation before them. Most likely because they’ve been well prepped by a lifetime of brainwashing.

Even on university campuses in Israel, I remember reading somewhere.
Unlike “Islamophobia”, it is permitted - no, positively encouraged - by the governing authorities.
