The EU fails. Will NATO succeed?

The article here, “Stunning Discovery…” makes alot of sense to me. That the leftists steering Biden’s policies, who are already orchestrating the collapse of our economy by destroying our energy sector in the name of “green energy”, would have wanted to provoke Putin into a war with Ukraine in order to accelerate this collapse, is made credible by the fact that this war has resulted in that exact outcome.
The devaluing of the dollar, not to mention a further obstruction of the energy supply, leading to food shortages, has accomplished it.

The Last Refuge article provides no information. It provides a theory - a tin-foil hat theory - that contrives a timeline of carefully selected events to prove, by magical hindcasting, that there was an initial plan behind those events, a devious plot to “bait” Russia into invading Ukraine.

Look at the dates: The Last Refuge’s “Stunning Discovery” was published 26 February, 2022 - two days after Putin invaded Ukraine. The invasion was now a fact, not a threat as it had been for the prior months. Putin’s actual intentions could now be discerned in the rubble in Ukraine. Certainly, it would be no “stunning discovery” that Putin intended war because he actually waged it. But why does the author think that he can plausibly implicate Biden as a cause of the invasion in place of Putin by the “stunning discovery” that Biden - by dropping hints to Zelensky that he could join Nato (which takes years), and then sharing this with the Chinese knowing that they would leak this to Putin who would invade Ukraine because Nato membership is a “red-line” - “baited” Putin into invading Ukraine? Not “stunning” - gob-smacking. Not a “discovery” - a fabrication.

The “tell” that the author is shamming is his ludicrous parody of Occam’s razor, which he refers to twice. Why can the Biden admin’s actions only be explained by this nonsense? He writes" " Again, a critical frame of reference is needed to answer that question: never ascribe to incompetence that which can be explained by intent." Pfui.

The Biden admin is incompetent, hypocritical, self-contradictory and malign. Its actions reveal all of these characteristics. Its foreign policy is a manifestation of these characteristics. But the explanation for the Putin’s long build-up and wait at the border prior to invasion can be explained far more simply than by the devious “baiting” theory. Putin is not a dupe, being bluffed into war by doddering Biden that Ukraine intended to cross the Nato “red-line.” No, he has a long-term strategy for taking back territory and population and he is executing it, one invasion at a time.

There is only one reason to give credence to this nonsense: to blame America, the west, Nato, Zelensky for the war, not Putin.

Again, none of what you said make any sense and you haven’t actually demonstrated how the dates and the timelines are wrong.

Jillian, here are examples of NATO’s involvements in former Yugoslavia that made that region and the world more dangerous.

I’m honestly baffled that you and C.Gee seem okay with the idea of turning Russia back to the 90’s.

What era does Putin wish to return Russia back to?
Again, I ask, why do you deny that you are pro-Putin?

In reference to the retired Czech vet who wants to give his medals back, accusing NATO of being a corrupt criminal organization - this makes sense in light of the fact that the U.S. government has itself become a corrupt criminal organization.
In fact, given the corrupt state of most governments in the West, and their association with the corrupt oligarchs of such organizations as the WEF, it would be hard to believe anything otherwise.

Your string of links to Adara Press is another dump of irrelevant NATO stories. The reason why you dump this stuff here is to show that Putin is somehow justified in invading Ukraine because of NATO expansion in the past and to prevent further expansion. NATO is a military alliance of nation-states. Its actions involve fighting. It is nonsense to call implementation of its mission “making the world more dangerous”. Insofar as its mission is to defend Europe from Russian predation, it recognizes that Russia is making the world more dangerous.

Please stop linking to Adara Press. It offers no information about itself. Its articles are not authored. Who are what is searching the internet for stories to which a click-bait headline can be attached?. By linking to Adara Press for its headlines, you are acting as an agent for the site, duping readers to open the link to the site. Guilt-by-association appears to be the main attention-grabbing trick for the headline.

When one reads the actual articles, the contents still have to be evaluated on their own terms and in their own contexts. It is frequently the case that the story does not justify or substantiate the headline. Worse, if one follows through to the source of the story, one finds oneself into full-blown, anti-US, pro-Russia activism.

Look at the “We outwitted three big Jewish organizations” link. Adara Press has not sourced this quote. I traced it to an interview in 1993 with French TV, which Ramsey Clark refers to in his 1998 book “Nato in the Balkans” and published by the International Action Center, founded by him in 1992. Take a look at the IAC’s site. This is what it is about: Information, activism & resistance to U.S. militarism, war & corporate greed, linking with struggles against racism & oppression within the United States i.e. leftist anti-US, anti-war (that is anti-US making war, not its enemies) activism.

The interview is interesting as an insight into how public opinion can be manipulated. One can see the manipulation at work in the Ukrainians-are-nazis links you have dumped here.

Here is a long extract from the interview, taken from an insecure site which I found as a “reply” to the “James Harff” quote on Kushima.org which appears to be the source for Adara Press as it matches exactly that sites’ quotes.

How did the Serbs come to be viewed as fascists in this conflict? This
characterization has now become an accepted fact, an issue beyond debate.
It makes U.S. motives seem unimpeachable and on the side of good against
evil.

In April 1993 Jacques Merlino, associate director of French TV 2,
interviewed James Harff, director of Ruder Finn Global Public Affairs, a
Washington, D.C-based public relations firm. The interview shows the role
of the corporate media in shaping a political issue.

Harff bragged of his services to his clients–the Republic of Croatia, the
Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and the parliamentary opposition in Kosovo,
an autonomous region of Serbia. Merlino described how Harff uses a file of
several hundred journalists, politicians, representatives of humanitarian
associations, and academics to create public opinion. Harff explained:
"Speed is vital . . . it is the first assertion that really counts. All
denials are entirely ineffective."

In the interview, Merlino asked Harff what his proudest public relations
endeavor was. Harff responded:

"To have managed to put Jewish opinion on our side. This was a sensitive
matter, as the dossier was dangerous looked at from this angle. President
Tudjman was very careless in his book, Wastelands of Historical Reality.
Reading his writings one could accuse him of anti-Semitism. [Tudjman
claimed the Holocaust never happened.] In Bosnia the situation was no
better: President Izetbegovic strongly supported the creation of a
fundamentalist Islamic state in his book, The Islamic Declaration.

"Besides, the Croatian and Bosnian past was marked by real and cruel
anti-Semitism. Tens of thousands of Jews perished in Croatian camps, so
there was every reason for intellectuals and Jewish organizations to be
hostile toward the Croats and the Bosnians. Our challenge was to reverse
this attitude and we succeeded masterfully.

"At the beginning of July 1992, New York Newsday came out with the article
on Serb camps. We jumped at the opportunity immediately. We outwitted three
big Jewish organizations–the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation League, The
American Jewish Committee and the American Jewish Congress. In August, we
suggested that they publish an advertisement in the New York Times and
organize demonstrations outside the United Nations.

"That was a tremendous coup. When the Jewish organizations entered the game
on the side of the [Muslim] Bosnians, we could promptly equate the Serbs
with the Nazis in the public mind. Nobody understood what was happening in
Yugoslavia. The great majority of Americans were probably asking themselves
in which African country Bosnia was situated.

"By a single move we were able to present a simple story of good guys and
bad guys which would hereafter play itself We won by targeting the Jewish
audience. Almost immediately there was a clear change of language in the
press, with use of words with high emotional content such as ethnic
cleansing, concentration camps, etc., which evoke images of Nazi Germany
and the gas chambers of Auschwitz. No one could go against it without being
accused of revisionism. We really batted a thousand in full."

Merlino replied, "But between 2 and 5 August 1992, when you did this, you
had no proof that what you said was true. All you had were two Newsday
articles."

“Our work is not to verify information,” said Harff. "We are not equipped
for that. Our work is to accelerate the circulation of information
favorable to us, to aim at judiciously chosen targets. We did not confirm
the existence of death camps in Bosnia, we just made it widely known that
Newsday affirmed it… We are professionals. We had a job to do and we did
it. We are not paid to moralize."

See Ramsey Clark’s wiki entry, from which
I extract the following:
"Hitchens continued to describe Clark in the following terms: “From bullying prosecutor he mutated into vagrant and floating defense counsel, offering himself to the génocideurs of Rwanda and to Slobodan Milosevic, and using up the spare time in apologetics for North Korea. He acts as front-man for the Workers World Party, which originated in a defense of the Soviet invasion of Hungary in 1956.”[36]

Klaus Schwab has said that Putin was a member of his WEF training group.

He boasts of his trainees “infiltrating” governments. (His word, “infiltrating”.) As we know, some of them have come to be the heads of governments.

I will not eliminate the links you have already piled up to the Voltaire site and the Adara Press site, but I ask you not to link to them again. I will delete new ones. Both C. Gee and I have given our reasons very fully.

I appreciate many other links that you bring to us, Yazmin, but not those.
