Okay, Who's Next?

Proving once again what an evil organization the UN is. I’m sure this terrorist was just one of many employed there. So WHY does our government continue to fund it???

An Israeli Air Force strike in the Gaza Strip killed Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist Ahmed al-Dalu, who participated in the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in Kibbutz Kfar Aza, the Israel Defense Forces said on Monday (today, November 4, 2024).

Al-Dalu, a member of the Iranian-backed terrorist organization’s Military Intelligence Unit, was eliminated in an airstrike directed by IDF ground troops and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) officers, the military said.

“An additional terrorist was eliminated alongside him. Throughout the war, al-Dalu was involved in planning and executing terrorist attacks against the citizens of the State of Israel,” the IDF statement said.

Kfar Aza was the scene of some of the worst atrocities on Oct. 7.

Sixty Hezbollah terrorists were killed in Israeli airstrikes on 20 targets north of Lebanon’s Litani River, including in Baalbek, the Israel Defense Forces said [this morning, Thursday November 7, 2024].

Among the targets hit was the launcher used in Wednesday’s rocket barrage on central Israel, the largest on the center since the war began over a year ago. Weapons storage facilities and terrorist infrastructure were also destroyed.

The IDF eliminated Mustafa Ahmad Shahadi, the Deputy Commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force in the area of Nabatieh, in a targeted airstrike on Wednesday [November 6, 2014], the military reported.

The Radwan Force is the Lebanese terror group’s elite unit.

The Israel Air Force used precise intelligence to locate and eliminate the commander, the military added.

Shahadi was reportedly responsible for multiple terrorist attacks against Israel.

The military noted that he was also accountable for the Radwan Forces’ combat operations during the Syrian Civil War from 2012 – 2017 and has organized multiple terrorist attacks in southern Lebanon.

When Israel entered southern Lebanon on October 1 to push Hezbollah forces back north of the Litani river, it had two goals. One was to make sure that Hezbollah would be pushed sufficiently back from the border so that it would no longer be able to launch missile attacks from southern Lebanon into Israel, and 60,000 displaced Israelis could at long last return to their homes in the north. The second was to prevent Hezbollah from being able to carry out its plan to stage an even larger attack on Israeli civilians than that carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023, using its terror tunnels to infiltrate into Israel.

Now the IDF has pushed its way into southern Lebanon and has been destroying dozens of tunnels, including an underground command-and-control center. The IDF has sent its troops into the village of Khiam, some six kilometers (nearly four miles) from the border with Israel.

Now that both the Radwan Force’s commander, Ibrahim Akil, and deputy commander, Mustafa Ahmad Shahadi, have been killed by the IDF, as well as commanders who served under them, the elite unit on which Hezbollah placed such murderous hopes is rudderless.

Above ground, the IDF is pounding the Hezbollah stronghold of Khiam, and below ground, locating and systematically blowing up the network of terror tunnels that snake from Lebanon into Israel.

No wonder that Naim Qassem, in his first official statement as the new leader of Hezbollah, has said that his group is “open to a ceasefire” with Israel. His forces are being battered every which way. Israel, of course, has no intention of agreeing to a ceasefire until it has done to Hezbollah what it is finishing up doing to Hamas in Gaza. It has already destroyed four-fifths of Hezbollah’s store of rockets; the group had 50,000 before the war, and now, the IDF believes, it has no more than 10,000 still intact, with more being destroyed every day.

Shahadi’s death is another sign of the IDF’s battlefield mastery, and Hezbollah’s inability to protect its most senior commanders.

Great news - and with Trump returning as President, Iran won’t be funding it’s war on Israel with our money any more.

Muhammad Abu Sakhil headed operations for the terrorist group, and worked in a command and control center embedded in a compound in northern Gaza that previously served as a school.

“The terrorist was a significant figure for the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the planning and execution of terrorist activities and coordinating attacks with Hamas against Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said

He was captured by American forces in Basra and handed over to Iraqi authorities, who released him, after which he returned to Lebanon.

The United States believes he was involved in an attack on the Karbala Provincial Coordination Center in which five American soldiers were killed.

At this point, it makes me wonder - are they just gluttons for punishment?!
Israel is not only decimating them, it’s exposing them, quite embarrassingly, as a rankly inferior force, in spite of all the U.S. funding.
I guess Obama would call them “Junior Varsity”.

They’re making great progress with this - but the hostage situation seems to be worse. He’s offering a huge ransom for each hostage, but his advisors say that only a ceasefire agreement will work.
Reports are that the hostages that remain alive are barely surviving. Yet a ceasefire deal will only give Hamas a chance to attack Israel again…

It’s a terrible dilemma for him.

I could not make that decision.

It takes extraordinary people, who value individual freedom and know there is always a price to be paid for it, to bear such responsibilities.

I know that it is a disastrous policy to negotiate with terrorists. By definition they are not be trusted.

I agree. But do you think it would work to agree to a ceasefire with two of the conditions being -

  1. the hostages are returned, and
  2. as soon as another terrorist attack or rocket fire occurs, the agreement is off and Israel can resume its counter offensive.
Knowing the terrorists will attack again, this would probably ony amount to a short pause in the fighting, but Israel would still get the hostages back.

It’s a cunning idea.

But would the terrorists return the hostages?

That’s the problem with that, I guess. They know that once they return the hostages, they have no leverage in negotiations. They want to use them as human shields.
